And just like that, the first month of school has come to a close! As our new school year got into gear, our parents got to spend some time getting to know our teachers at our Meet the Teacher event. With spooky season upon us, our students visited the Queens County Farm Museum to see some animals, pick pumpkins, and enjoy the fall weather. In the classrooms, we’ve completed our first round of assessments, having taken the iReady in ELA and math, Running Records for reading, writing assessment, and the new Sanctuary assessment. We welcomed 3 new Teaching Assistants into our CMCCS family and they’ve hit the ground running. Our students and staff are working hard and there’s much to look forward to in the coming weeks!
