Winter has come and gone, and the excitement at CMCCS continues to blossom. We held our first spelling bee where our scholars showed how hard they have been working in ELA and spellers were cheered on by our inaugural cheer leading team! Go Red Pandas! In December, we opened our very own school store where our students can purchase gifts with school dollars they earn in class. Upon returning from the holiday break, our students jumped right back into learning as we took our second round of school-wide assessments in reading, writing, sanctuary, ELA, and mathematics. Spirit week saw our students and staff wear crazy socks, show off their favorite characters, celebrate the 100th day of school, represent their favorite decade, and get festive with red and pink for Valentine’s Day. After six weeks of hard work we arrived at our much-needed mid-winter break, where nearly 100 of our upper grade students continued their learning by attending our test prep academy. Our students’ dedication to their education was an inspiration to our faculty and staff. What a sight! And speaking of test prep, testing season is officially upon us with a little over a month to go before our state test window opens. Much like the temperatures, the happenings at CMCCS are starting to heat up! Stay tuned!
