Performance vs. Other Schools

Student performance is central to our mission. We aim to help every child reach their fullest potential through high expectations, personalized support, and a love of learning. By fostering confidence, curiosity, and perseverance, we prepare our students for lasting success in school and beyond.

Cardinal McCloskey Community Charter School (CMCCS) is performing well above the Bronx and District 10 averages across most grade levels, particularly in mathematics and early literacy. In 3rd grade, CMCCS achieved 77% proficiency in ELA compared to 44% in both the Bronx and District 10, and an impressive 86% in math compared to 51% and 46%, respectively. These results highlight exceptional early academic foundations. Overall, CMCCS reached 56% proficiency in ELA and 69% in math—outpacing local averages by more than 20 percentage points. While 4th- and 5th-grade ELA scores are roughly aligned with borough and district results, CMCCS students continue to show strong math performance across all grades. Together, these outcomes demonstrate the school’s commitment to academic excellence and its success in helping students achieve at significantly higher levels than their peers in surrounding schools.
