Academic Expectations

Grade-Level Learning Expectations

From Kindergarten through 5th Grade, students build strong foundations in reading, writing, math, and social skills. Each year focuses on growth in knowledge, independence, and responsibility, preparing students to meet key academic goals and transition confidently to the next grade level.

Kindergarten

Students build early literacy and numeracy foundations, learn classroom routines, and develop independence and cooperation.

Students strengthen phonics and early reading, write complete sentences, and grow number sense and fact fluency.

Second Grade

Students expand reading comprehension, write organized paragraphs, and develop addition/subtraction fluency and problem-solving.
